Abel has a degree in Visual Arts from UFES and has been working on comics since 2009, debuting in the independent companion Almanaque Gótico, published in Brazil. Among fantasy and horror stories, Abel has illustrated Necromorfus, Savants of Sounds and Ditadura no Ar, an award-winning miniseries also published in Brazil. He then debuted in the US market in the anthology book DC’s Crimes of Passion #1 and Harley Quinn #72. Abel is currently the artist on the Rogue Sun monthly series from Image Comics.
